Court amends ruling in Triton case against Global Cash Services

August 13, 2008

GULFPORT, Miss. — The Mississippi court that last month granted Triton Systems of Delaware Inc.'s request for a prelimanry injunction against Global Cash Services LLC has now amended its earlier ruling.

According to an order filed in Mississippi on Aug. 12, wording related to limitations the court placed on GCS's relationship with China-based GRG Banking Equipment Co. Ltd. has been changed. The court has clarified three subsections of the ruling. Specifically, the amended ruling states that the injunction does not prevent GCS from "assisting GRG in any way with any financial ATM," nor does it prevent GCS from working with GRG in the future to develop a retail ATM that "does not involve or utilize Triton's trade secrets."

The original ruling, filed July 3, alleges that former Triton employees, including former Triton president Brian Kett, used Triton's proprietary information in their consulting work with GRG.

The case is expected to go to trial early next year.
