Co-Op launches tool for full-debit program clients

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — A new tool from Co-Op Financial Services will allow credit unions to view and analyze cardholder usage behavior.
"Co-Op Revelation includes first-tier, usage analytics, which lets credit unions view, analyze and manage card-usage information on all its members," said Stan Hollen, Co-Op's president and chief executive. "Cardholder behavior can be determined based on merchant type, network and type of transaction (signature debit, PIN POS and ATM). Through Co-Op Revelation, credit unions can have access to comprehensive card usage data in-house, giving them the power to create revenue generating programs that will help keep them competitive."
Co-Op Financial Services licensed Saylent Technologies' Y-Debit card-portfolio-optimization solution as the platform. The new solution is called Co-Op Revelation.
Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union, which piloted the solution, was able to decide on a location for a new ATM using Co-Op Revelation, basing its decision on the ability to identify heavy ATM usage by its cardholders at a competing bank.
"Based on this information, we were able to pinpoint the exact location where an ATM would best serve our members," said Linda Manning, fraud Analyst at Addison Avenue FCU.
Credit unions already using Co-Op's full debit program for PIN and signature processing are automatically enrolled in Revelation's Usage Analytics.
Other benefits:
- Powerful segmentation and analytics for card programs
- Insights into card usage and payment trends
- Information-on-demand without IT involvement
