Clydestone wins ATM contract in Ghana

GNA: Clydestone, an information technology company on the Ghana Stock Exchange, won a three-year contract to supply ATMs to Transaction Solutions Ghana Ltd. for deployment in Shell Service Stations in Ghana.

Frank Opata, TranSol's general manager, said Clydestone was chosen for its presence in the market and payment-systems services.

The ATMs are expected to be "EZIcash" and will be deployed in conjunction with ECOBANK Ghana Ltd., which is the sponsoring and hosting bank. Five ATMs will be deployed June, and another 10 are expected to come in the fourth quarter of 2005. By the end of 2006, TranSol expects to have 50 ATMs deployed.

The ATMs will accept all VISA-branded cards, and foreign banks' customers may use the ATMs free.
