CashScore Ltd. speeds ATM service with handheld PDAs

LONDON — CashScore Ltd, a U.K. company that provides standalone or through-the-wall ATMs to retailers and other small business owners, has equipped all its field-based sales employees with handheld PDAs. This will result in a much speedier process to install an ATM in a selected location because of the dramatic reduction in paperwork, according to a news release.
A cash machine is seen as one of the biggest footfall drivers for small businesses, as well as providing much-needed revenue through transaction fees of between £5,000 (U.S. $9,745) and £15,000 (U.S. $29,250) per annum. However, retailers will be all too familiar with the delay caused by the paper chase involved in the survey and sign-off process.
CashScore is unique in helping to drastically speed up the survey and installation process by transferring all paper-based forms into electronic format by using a mobile workforce software solution called E-Forms from Knowledge Online.
Retailers are faced with a mountain of paperwork to fill in. Now, through the use of Knowledge Online's E-Forms software, all forms are filled out on site via the PDA and the forms can be submitted there and then for immediate analysis by the directors responsible for making decisions on a yes/no answer for the retailer. In practice, a retailer could now be approved for an ATM installation on the same day as the initial survey.
