Cardtronics, NSA set up ATM training site in Tenn.

October 28, 2007

HOUSTON - Cardtronics LP and National Services Associates, which last year performed work at tens of thousands of U.S. ATM locations, have set up an ATM training site in Knoxville, Tenn., field-service technicians.

The training site, which is located at NSA's headquarters, is part of a branding partnership with Cardtronics. Members of NSA's team of 400 field-service representatives from across the country will use the training facility, to work on Cardtronics' machines as well as others.

In addition to ATM work, NSA performs branding and field-service work for financial institutions, retailers, convenience stores, point-of-purchase providers, restaurant franchises and others.

"Cardtronics has more than 25,000 U.S. locations," said Chuck West, NSA's chief executive. "It requires a great deal of knowledge and coordination to work on projects throughout the country. We ensure branding and other information on the machines is current, and that they are presentable and clean."

West estimated that up to 100 project managers and field service representatives will train annually on Cardtronics-provided ATMs.

According to a news release, training will be provided by Cardtronics technicians and NSA project managers and tech-support staff.
