BPC Banking Technologies to help Russian bank transform payment business

BPC Banking Technologies, a provider of open system e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, today announced that its SmartVista solution was chosen by Russia's North Credit Bank to support an in-house payment processing center. SmartVista will replace an outsourced legacy processing system.

Components of the licensed package will include:

• SmartIssuer — allows the user to design new card products, while providing functionality to manage existing card programs.
• SmartPro — provides an end-to-end credit card production solution for magnetic and smart card personalization, including embossing, mag-stripe encoding, chip personalization, and PIN mailer printing and distribution.
• SmartATM — allows the user to automate, service and monitor its ATM network, track usage patterns and accurately forecast demand.
• SmartGuard — provides real-time fraud management, tracking all transactions originating from traditional and emerging delivery channels.

"We made an important strategic decision for our card business to create a new end-to-end infrastructure based on SmartVista that will allow us to transform our card business and enhance our market competitiveness," said Dmitry Sychev, head of IT at North Credit Bank. "Not only will SmartVista enable us to launch new card products quickly, and help us ensure that our ATM network is operating at peak efficiency but it will also help eliminate fraud."
