BankNet links ATM systems

Viet Nam News: Vietnam's National Financial Transfer Joint Stock Co. (BankNet) expects to officially launch an online connection among ATM and e-payment systems that make transactions easier for customers. When the system is launched, ATM cardholders of three of the country's banks will be able to access accounts through any of the banks' ATM systems. BankNet says it also plans to sign a payment-systems deal with a Chinese card issuer, allowing BankNet member banks to accept cards issued by the Chinese partner by September.
