Bank of America's continued branch expansion strategy now enables it to reach 83% of the U.S. population, according to a press release.
The bank plans to open 19 locations across Wisconsin through 2030, creating roughly 130 local jobs. It will also enter Alabama and Greater New Orleans in 2027, with plans for 10 centers in Birmingham and Huntsville, and eight in Greater New Orleans.
"Expanding our presence in Wisconsin gives us an opportunity to deepen relationships with clients and communities across the state," Drew Slocum, president of Bank of America Wisconsin, said in the release. "With our new financial centers, we'll help more clients pursue their financial goals, connecting them with the breadth of resources, expertise and solutions available across Bank of America."
With this expansion, it now has close to 3,500 branches across the U.S. Since 2016, it has invested $5 billion into new and renovated branches. It plans to continue this expansion by adding close to 50 branches every year.
