Australia's Lockit Systems signs U.S. distributorship deal for ATM Raminator
March 5, 2009
DALLAS — Australia-based Lockit Systems, creator of ATM Raminator, has signed with Dallas-based The Security Centre, a security supplier for the financial industry, to distribute its Raminator product in the United States.
The Raminator is an ATM security product that prevents ATM ram raid or so-called smash-and-grab attacks.
"It was a great result to appoint The Security Centre Dallas as we had found a company whose security and management values reflected our own," said Richard Gould, director of Lockit Systems. "The Security Centre's core of experienced security-industry staff is an essential element of the ATM Raminator distribution team."
The Security Centre is part of the Financial and Security Products Association as well as the ATM Industry Association, and has 46 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector.
"In just three months we have begun to send ATM Raminators into the USA, and we are seeing a stream of USA-supported dealers starting to make sales of ATM Raminator," Gould said.
The New York Bankers Association and Texas Bankers Association have each endorsed the ATM Raminator, and, according to a news release, insurers of ATMs are offering discounts on insurance for those ATMs equipped with ATM Raminators.
Since the launch of the ATM Raminator in Australia, Gould says smash and grabs in the country have dropped by 95 percent.
"Thieves have given up stealing ATMs because of ATM Raminator," Gould said.
