ATMs overshadow teller service at Giant

Press Connects:Advances in self-service technology at New York's Giant Markets is pulling customers away from the teller line. The ability to do more at ATMs, such as inquire about balances, and bank online, has outdated the store's StoreTeller service. As of Nov. 14, the Giant's courtesy desk will no longer accept loan payments or deposits for Partners Trust bank-account holders.
