ATMGurus releases PCI/EMV keypad upgrade kits for Triton 9600 ATM
April 1, 2010
According to a news release from Triton, the kits will target customers in the United States and Canada.
Kits for U.S. deployments ensure compliance with PCI security mandates. Kits for Canadian deployments ensure compliance with Interac's mandates, with the addition of the EMV card reader.
"The race to the 50 percent chip compliance mandate by 2011 is on in Canada," said Shaun King, director of international sales at Triton. "Our customers know that the clock is ticking on bringing their fleet(s) up to date and we're happy that through ATMGurus, it is Triton leading the pack in helping them reach those requirements."
ATMGurus will offer credit toward the kit purchase with the return of a functioning VEPP, and a further credit for a functioning Canadian card reader.
"People are reluctant to replace machines in the field that have performed well for them over the years," said Dan Swain, ATMGurus' general manager. "Now they can stick with what they know, while maximizing the investment they've already made into their equipment."
