ATM Marketplace releases new ATM tech-related reports

April 6, 2008

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — ATM Marketplace is pleased to announce the release of three new special publications, each addressing topics central to the ATM industry.

Sponsored by Symstream Technology Group Ltd., "Wireless Data Communications: Severing the ties that bind" is a guide that focuses on cellular-based ATM networks and how those networks are eliminating the need for cumbersome landline infrastructures while opening new ATM-deployment opportunities.

The guide explains how deployers can take advantage of the benefits cellular networks have to offer.

"Wireless technology is breaking down communications barriers and opening new opportunities for banks, retail businesses and independent ATM sales organizations to deploy ATMs in new and nontraditional areas," said Travis K. Kircher, author of the guide and a reporter for ATM Marketplace. "Europe, Asia, even the jungles of Africa now are within reach of deployers eager to penetrate untapped markets."

"How to Generate Revenue from Third-Party Advertising," a special report sponsored by i-design, shows how, as the costs associated with maintaining ATM networks continue to grow, ATM deployers can look to third-party ATM advertising as an additional source of revenue.

"The advent of a secure, easy-to-use, widescale solution for third-party ATM advertising is enabling ATM deployers to think about how they can generate scaleable revenue with minimal resources through a delivery channel that traditionally has been a cash drain," said Tracy Kitten, editor of ATM Marketplace and author of the report.

Lastly, "The Benefits of Refurbished ATMs", sponsored by ACG, examines how refurbished ATMs can often provide more value and ROI than new machines.

"Refurbished ATMs — slightly used machines that have been dismantled, repaired, refitted, repainted and reconstructed — offer a viable option for deployers that want to cut costs without cutting quality," said Kircher, who also wrote the report.

Each of these special publications can be downloaded free of charge on ATM Marketplace.
