YourCash Ltd., a United Kingdom-based independent ATM provider, has deployed 130 free-to-use machines with Poundland, a discount retailer, since last year, said Lee Middleton, YourCash director of change and marketing.

YourCash, which is based in Milton Keynes, England, will deploy another 60 ATMs before the end of the year, Middleton said.

Poundland, a Willenhall, England-based variety store chain, operates 250 stores throughout the U.K. Middleton said additional ATM installations are planned for next year. The two companies signed an ATM deployment agreement in September 2009.

"YourCash is the exclusive provider for ATMs in their stores," Middleton said.

YourCash officials said the company deploys more than 1,700 free-to-use ATMs throughout the U.K., controlling 32 percent of the country's free-to-use independent ATM market. Wincor Nixdorf AG and Tritonsupply YourCash its ATMs, Middleton said.

Poundland, which sells every item in its stores for one British pound, said the ATMs enhance customers' shopping experiences.

"Many of Poundland's 2.5 million weekly shoppers come to the store with certain items in mind and end up leaving with bags full of our amazing value products, so having an ATM nearby is a great help," said Jim McCarthy, Poundland CEO. YourCash said it expects more than 700 cash withdrawals per month from each ATM.
