ANZ hits 2,000 mark with ATM rollout

TVNZ: ANZ Banking Group is ramping up its rollout of ATMs. Australia's third-largest hit 2,000 ATMs in February. It now says it plans to open new ATMs at the rate of one a day throughout 2007. ANZ falls second only to Commonwealth Bank in the number of ATMs it has installed in Australia. ANZ also is conducting a pilot program for ATM placements in public telephone booths.
