American Airlines credit union expands deal with Co-Op

February 25, 2007

ONTARIO, Calif. - American Airlines Federal Credit Union (more than $4 billion in assets), which represents more than 204,000 members of the air-transportation industry, has added additional processing services through Co-Op Financial Services for driving its 131 ATMs and processing transactions for its 5 million-plus debit-card program.

"AA Credit Union has been a Co-Op Network member for over 7 years and this expanded partnership is the natural progression in our relationship," said Stan Hollen, Co-Op's chief executive.
According to a news release, the announcement marks an addition to the credit union's deal with Co-Op, expanding its services to include full EFT processing and a partnership with Co-Op on two programs to deploy ATMs at LAX Airport in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City Airport in Utah.

"We chose to partner with Co-Op because, throughout our relationship, they've always been committed to providing quality products and services to our members," said John Tippets, AA Credit Union's chief executive. "Plus, we were looking to retain our association with eFunds, and Co-Op's long-standing affiliation with them allows us to do so."
