Amenify intros rewards program

Resident commerce platform Amenify announced the beta launch of a card-linked rewards program, allowing eligible renters to earn up to 5% cash back on local purchases, including groceries and gas, according to a press release.

The program enables users to connect existing credit or debit cards from major financial institutions to the Amenify platform without applying for a new card or scanning receipts. These rewards stack with existing card rewards.

Amenify launched the beta to thousands of U.S. users, with plans to expand access to 20 million residents across its property-partner network. The launch builds on Amenify's recent partnership with Visa to develop intelligent resident commerce capabilities.

"We looked at consumer spending data to see where most households spend their money," Everett Lynn, founder and chief executive of Amenify, said in the release. "A large amount of this spend happens at the pump and the grocery store. So that's where we started."

According to Amenify, everyday categories account for roughly $2.8 trillion in annual household spending, with groceries and fuel representing approximately 62% of that total.

The Amenify app also includes map features for nearby participating merchants, real-time fuel pricing and ordering options, supported by 24/7 customer service. Reward rates and merchant availability vary by location.
