Allpoint surcharge-free network adds 119K-member Eglin FCU

Eglin Federal Credit Union, one of Florida's 10 largest credit unions, with nearly $2 billion in assets, has joined the Allpoint Network of Cardtronics PLC, extending surcharge-free access for its 119,000 members at Allpoint ATMs across Florida and nationwide.

EFCU members can use the credit union's ATM locator to find any one of more than 40,000 Allpoint Network surcharge-free cash machines across the U.S., according to a press release.

"We are dedicated to serving the needs of military families and our fellow residents, providing easy and convenient access to their accounts wherever they live or travel," EFCU President Jerry Williams said in the release. "By joining the Allpoint Network, we substantially enhanced both the scale and density of surcharge-free cash access points available to our members."

"EFCU improved service in a tangible way without incurring significant costs to build new branches or expand its own ATM network," said Brian Bailey, Cardtronics executive vice president and managing director for North America.  "Allpoint gives financial institutions the power to quickly turn on the surcharge-free cash access that consumers demand, improving service delivery and creating a better member experience virtually overnight."
