Security Service Federal Credit Union today announced that it has joined Co-op Financial Services. San Antonio, Texas-based Security Service’s 760,000 cardholders now have surcharge-free ATM access to 28,000 machines nationwide, including 1,200 in the Lone Star State. Co-op also operates nationwide 9,000 deposit-taking ATMs.
Co-op Network, which is based in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., provides surcharge-free ATM access to more than 3,000 credit-union members and their 30-million cardholders. Co-op member ATMS are deployed in credit unions, 7-Eleven, Costco and Walgreens stores and on military bases.
The U.S. Air Force Security Service Command founded the credit union in 1956.The credit union, which has $5.5 billion in assets, is the largest in Texas. The financial institution also has 14 offices in Colorado, where it is the state’s third-largest credit union based on assets.
