Acquirer Systems qualifies testing platform for Diners Club EMV spec

June 14, 2012

Acquirer Systems, a provider of test and validation solutions used by card issuers and acquirers, has announced that its acquirer and issuer host testing platform ASTREX is now qualified for D-PAS, Diners Club International's EMV-compliant payment specification.

D-PAS is being rolled out internationally, affording issuers, acquirers, merchants and cardholders the added security and functional benefits that EMV offers over mag stripe cards.

ASTREX supports the deployment of D-PAS with a real-time, end-to-end EMV payment emulation environment that allows issuers, acquirers and payment service providers to independently simulate, test and validate the full range of payment transactions for EMV compliance.

"Customers around the world are seeking to maximize the opportunity presented by EMV to enhance the consumer payments experience," said Fergal Molloy, CEO of Acquirer Systems. "Now our ASTREX platform can help Diners Club International franchises to successfully migrate to EMV and enhance the speed and quality of on-going product delivery and compliance."

"A cornerstone of our emerging payments strategy is to enable EMV amongst our issuers, acquirers, and direct connect merchants worldwide," said Troy Bernard, global head of chip payments at Discover Network, Diners Club's parent company. "Capitalizing on EMV will allow our network partners to leverage next generation payments security capabilities and will ensure global payments interoperability to an increasingly discerning customer base."
