Florida-based electronic payment and banking systems provider ACI Worldwide and VocaLink, operator of the national payments infrastructure for the United Kingdom, have inked a nine-year extension to an agreement under which ACI will continue to provide managed service for 24,000 ATMs in the U.K.
VocaLink leverages BASE24 and BASE24-eps ATM driving technologies from ACI to provide complete managed services to its cash machine network and its ATM deployer customers in a reliable, cost-effective manner, regardless of ATM type and configuration, a news release from ACI said.
In turn, this service allows deployers to support their ATM end-users with features such as ATM helpdesk, ATM location database, ATM switching, international card networks and mobile phone top-up.
"ACI's technologies enable us to support a full range of transaction types, ensuring our ATM managed service can deliver everything our users require to manage their ATM estates profitably," said Marc Terry, managing director of commercial services at VocaLink. "As an ACI customer for 16 years, VocaLink continues to rely on ACI's state-of-the-art technology to offer our customers the highest level of service, features and functionality."
"VocaLink has an accomplished history in the management of ATM estates," said Paul Thomalla, SVP and managing director for EMEA at ACI Worldwide. "We are proud of our longstanding relationship with VocaLink, which has enabled them to deliver the most functionally rich and complete deployment solution to the market."
