Wincor brings its 'workhorse' ATM to the US market (video)

The standard cash-dispenser retail ATM makes its American debut at ATMIA US 2013.

Already widely in use around the rest of the world, the Wincor Nixdorf ProCash 280 compact ATM is now available for the first time in the American market. Wincor Nixdorf announced the U.S. launch of its basic but robust machine at the ATMIA US 2013 conference.

The ProCash 280 was designed to support heavy traffic in retail installations. The EMV-ready machine features a 15-inch touchscreen for user ease, and a small footprint for tight spaces such as convenience stores.

"The ProCash 280 is a workhorse ATM, and I'm proud to bring its excellent record of reliability and dependability to the U.S. market," said Oliver Weber, president and CEO of Wincor Nixdorf U.S., in a statement following the conference.
