First Financial improves customer experience, enhances branch

First Financial Bank redefined its customer experience by visually and graphically modernizing its branch.

September 3, 2009 by Tracy Kitten — Editor, AMC

For years, banks and credit unions have been working to improve their in-branch experiences. Many have spent the last several years investing in branch automation, as well as design strategies that mimic retail environments.

The expectation is to improve the customer or member experience within the branch, so customers and members will frequent branches more often.

First Financial Bank, a subsidiary of First Financial Bancorp ($168 million in sales), connected its exterior to the graphic communication systems and visual merchandising, making the branch more approachable. The new design emphasizes First Financial's commitment to relationship building instead of just transactions. FRCH Design Worldwide is helping the bank with redesign and brand integrity.
