April. Baseball returns, spring gets serious and ATM technicians in Minnesota start to get back some of the feeling in their fingers.
For ATM Marketplace, April brought a full complement of ATM-related topics. At the top of the list were features on innovation, EMV and earnings. The industry's largest public companies, starting with NCR, began to announce Q1 revenues at the end of the month.
For manufacturers, revenues were hit or miss (mostly miss), but as CEOs pointed out, there's still a lot of ball to be played in 2016.

Even in the midst of a period of accelerated innovation in the global ATM industry, in which a range of new customer interfaces, operating systems and functions has emerged, it was striking to see the role of robots being taken so seriously in self-service.
Wells Fargo has made a habit of rolling out ATM firsts in the U.S.— the bank's pioneering innovations over the years have included on-screen advertising, envelope-free deposits, postage stamp dispensing, customized transaction menus, email and SMS receipts, cash redemption of credit card points, and probably a few others not on this list.
