Parma, June 2015: Custom, leader in designing and manufacturing more and more complete solutions for ticketing, and Autostrade Tech, technological spin off Atlantia Group, from which it has inherited a strong know-how in the areas of Research and Development and integration of hardware and software Systems, are pleased to introduce the new Caronte & Tourist service, the Telepass service for the Strait of Sicily, which lets you buy and collect tickets using the same dedicated Telepass track, enjoying the convenience of not having to get out of your vehicle and be forced to queue at the ticket office.

In fact, Autostrade Tech created a tool that allows users to avoid stopping the car and getting off to go to the ticket office bypassing the queues, then pay the trips directly through their Telepass account, easily check the list of single trips in their reserved area on telepass.it and receive the invoice directly from Telepass.

This is possible also thanks to the presence of the Custom KPM302 RFID printer within the totem: with high level technical performances, it allows quick and safe tickets and receipts printing.
KPM302 was chosen by Autostrade Tech because it is an excellent printer for self-service ticketing, the most compact in the market, with unique features such as: a powerful 32-bit processor, speed that exceeds 200 mm/sec, an internal barcode scanner ideal for the validation of the card and the prevention of frauds, enhanced quality head for clear and precise printing, a highly reliable cutter, an SD card with 2GB additional memory, adjustable paper input, black mark detector sensor in 4 positions, traslucid gap/hole mark detector (setting by software), ticket presence sensor.
