Wincor partner BS/2 launches e-channel payments for bank in Kazakhstan
August 2, 2009
Lithuania-based financial software and solutions provider and Wincor Nixdorf AG partner BS/2 says it has wrapped a two-year development project for a new e-channel at Halyk Bank, a leading bank in Kazakhstan.
BS/2's Pavel Drobinov says the e-channel is fully integrated into the bank's IT infrastructure and meets all EMV standards and functionality:
 | The goal of the project was to install software and hardware into bank's IT infrastructure for the development of a new e-channel for service payment via info payment terminals. Four parties participated in the project: Halyk Bank, BS/2, Wincor Nixdorf and OpenWay. The project was complex and long — requirements were changed and various technology issues arose during the project. But due to coordinated work of all project parties, the desirable result has been achieved. | |
Software integrated into information terminals enables payment with card or cash for utilities, taxes, communication services, etc.
During the project, 600 info-payment terminals manufactured and designed by Wincor Nixdorf were delivered to Halyk Bank and integrated into the bank's IT infrastructure. Software from BS/2 facilitates the payments.
