Banking solutions provider Wincor Nixdorf has tapped AutoRek, a U.K.-based provider of financial controls and reporting software, to provide reconciliation services under a new contract Wincor has secured with a major retail bank, according to a press release.
Under the terms of the contract, AutoRek will implement a system that reconciles the bank's ATM network cash as it moves through the cash cycle from the initial order to delivery to the ATM and back to the cash vault. AutoRek also will provide a general ledger each day to support the bank's accounting processes.
The release said that a number of companies presented proofs of concept for the project, and that AutoRek was chosen for its demonstrated ability to facilitate a controlled and audited environment suited to the bank's needs.
"We are delighted to be working with AutoRek and believe that its solution is the best fit for this particular contract, ensuring that we can deliver with confidence," said Wincor Nixdorf Managing Director of Services Paul Fisher. "What's more, by partnering with AutoRek we are further strengthening our end-to-end IT solutions for retail banks, showing the market that we have the knowledge and expertise to provide a highly desirable reconciliation solution as part of our wider portfolio."
"[W]e are pleased that we have been selected to work with the team on this particular contract ... and are confident that this is the start of a long and prosperous partnership that will hopefully lead to future business opportunities," said AutoRek Managing Director Gordon McHarg.
