Western Union creates new business groups for Americas
February 8, 2007
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - The Western Union Company announced that it has created two new business groups focused on the U.S./Canadian and Latin American/Mexican/Caribbean regions.
Formerly part of the larger Americas division, the creation of two smaller organizations is expected to help the company better focus on consumer groups in those specific markets.
"One of Western Union's key strengths has always been its understanding of and focus on its consumers," said Christina Gold, Western Union's president and chief executive. "By realigning our Americas division, we are able to create even greater focus and maximize the potential for growth in this diverse region."
