MOSINEE, Wis. - Washington Trust Bank has chosen Wausau Financial Systems as its imaging partner for electronic clearing and settlement through the Endpoint Exchange Network.
"With offices across four states, we are always looking at the most cost-effective way to process payments," said Washington Trust Bank's Nancy Beauvais. "With Check 21, the cost of processing paper checks is on the rise, and with check-image exchange we will reduce operating costs, accelerate clearing and reduce transportation costs."
According to a news release, members of the Endpoint Exchange network initiate check clearing and settlement, truncate checks at the bank of first deposit and electronically exchange check images.
