SEATTLE — Washington Mutual Inc. has signed a branding deal with Cardtronics to WaMu-brand more than 70 ATMs in CVS/pharmacy stores in Georgia.
According to a news release, the branded ATMs — which will feature the WaMu logo, transaction screens and printed receipts — will provide surcharge-free withdrawals, balance inquires and account transfers between primary accounts to all WaMu customers.
The branded ATMs are owned and operated by Cardtronics.
"We've now teamed up with Cardtronics and CVS/pharmacy in four states," said Tom McDermott, senior vice president and division executive for WaMu's retail bank in Georgia. "Our successful partnership means we're able to further expand our ATM footprint, strengthen our brand presence and deliver additional convenience for our customers."
