Warburg Pincus acquires Easycash from First Data

RATINGEN, Germany - German point-of-sale network service provider Easycash announced Nov. 2 that it has been acquired by global private equity firm Warburg Pincus.

The sale between Warburg Pincus and First Data International, which purchased Easycash in June 2006 as part of the larger acquisition of card-based payment-transactions processor GZS, is subject to approval from the German Federal Cartel Office.

Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
