Visa has now confirmed the Collis EMV Personalization Validation Tool for required U.S.-specific test cases during personalization validation of Visa chip cards, according to a press release from UL, which owns Collis Test Tools. The confirmed Visa validation module includes global personalization requirements, as well as specifications unique to Europe and the United States.
The Collis EMV Personalization Validation Tool is used for testing EMV payment products according to mandatory card personalization regulations from the major payment associations. Card manufacturers, issuers, and personalization bureaus can use the comprehensive test tool to validate the personalization of their contact and contactless payment cards and mobile payment applications. The tool checks the correctness of a card application personalization and provides full reports, including explanations of any errors and observations.
According to UL, the Collis EMV Personalization Validation Tool can check any EMV card application, secure element application or cloud-based payment application against the latest specifications from EMVCo, MasterCard, Visa, JCB, Discover, Diners Club International, Union Pay and domestic payment schemes.
