MINNEAPOLIS - U.S. Bank, a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB), is installing 333 ATMs at Walgreen Co. stores in California and Nevada, according to a news release. The installation is expected to be complete by June.
"This is great news for our customers in California and Nevada who will now find it even more convenient to bank with U.S. Bank," said Mary Blegen, senior vice president of 24-hour banking at U.S. Bank. "Our partnership with Walgreens and this large scale deployment of ATMs is key to our growth in the West, particularly in California."
Walgreen will add 312 U.S. Bank ATMs in California and 21 in Nevada, bringing the banks total number of ATMs in those states to 684 and 119, respectively.
At the Walgreen ATMs, cash withdrawals, balance inquiries and funds transfers are available to U.S. Bank customers. Customers also can order checks and copies of canceled checks, change PINs and print statements.
The ATMs feature bilingual screens and voice guidance for the visually impaired. All are Windows-based and are based on the ProdigyATM platform.
