U.S. Bank and Chrome River have debuted U.S. Bank Expense Wizard, a mobile payment and expense management tool that uses chatbots and artificial intelligence to help infrequent travelers manage company business trips.
Expense Wizard allows employees to book travel in accordance with company policies, pay with a virtual mobile wallet and capture receipts instantly while traveling.
"When talking with customers, we found consistent frustration around managing expenses for both nonemployees and employees and employees who travel without a corporate card," Bradley Matthews, senior vice president of U.S. Bank corporate payment systems, said in a company release.
The app can also help companies manage travel for outside contractors and job candidates visiting for an interview, he release said.
Chrome River, which develops expense management software, has long sought to create what it calls a "zero touch" expense report that uses advanced image processing, AI and bot technology, CEO Alan Rich said.
"U.S. Bank and Chrome River share the same commitment to innovation, and to making the business travel payment and expense process streamlined and risk free," he said.
