Cardtronics Inc. has renewed its ATM services agreement with The Pantry, an independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern United States. According to a news release from Cardtronics, the agreement extends a relationship that began in 2011.
Cardtronics currently manages and operates more than 1,400 ATMs for The Pantry, which has stores in 13 states under various names — most notably, Kangaroo Express. The Pantry participates in the Allpoint Network, Cardtronics' surcharge-free ATM service.
As part of the agreement, Cardtronics obtains expansion rights to operate ATMs for future store locations established by The Pantry.
"Renewing our agreement with Cardtronics enables us to continue providing a valuable service — convenient cash access — to our customers," said Robin Vaughn, category manager for The Pantry. "Beyond that, we can enable our guests to obtain cash surcharge-free through our participation in Allpoint and the relationships with ATM branding partner financial institutions that Cardtronics has brought to the table."
"The Pantry's early renewal is a testament to the continued positive relationship we share," said David Dove, president of the North American business group at Cardtronics . "The Pantry has chosen to continue working with us to meet their customers' needs and, in turn, drive traffic to their stores."
