UL works to accelerate EMV 3-D Secure adoption with self-test platform

UL has launched a web-based test platform to support stakeholders in advancing the next generation of 3-D Secure.

Based on the latest EMV 3-D Secure Specification, the platform provides a one-stop EMV 3-D Secure implementation and certification solution that product providers, PSPs, merchants and issuers can use to perform tests while building and enhancing their 3-D Secure components, according to a press release.

Stakeholders can request approval services from the UL 3DS Testing Laboratory through the platform, cutting down time to market and reducing process complexity, stated the release.

''This all-in-one solution ensures security, performance and user experience for all stakeholders implementing the EMV 3-D Secure technology," said Isabelle Noblanc, vice president and general manager of UL identity management and security, in the release. "It greatly contributes to our promise to empower trust in an interconnected and cashless world.''
