UL achieves GlobalPlatform qualification for complete Collis Test Tools portfolio

UL has announced the successful completion of the Global Platform TestFest process for its Collis Compliance Test Suite for GlobalPlatform Mapping Guidelines, and Collis Compliance Test Suite for GlobalPlatform SWP and HCI. Both are now GlobalPlatform-qualified.

With these qualifications, UL now offers a full portfolio of GlobalPlatform-qualified test suites that ensure the interoperability of smart-cards or secure elements within the GlobalPlatform ecosystem.

Other test suites in the portfolio include:

• Collis Compliance Test Suite for GlobalPlatform UICC configuration;
• Collis Compliance Test Suite for GlobalPlatform UICC Contactless Extension;
• Collis Compliance Test Suite for GlobalPlatform Basic Financial Configuration.

"Over the last few years, smart card technology has changed considerably," said Maxim Dyachenko, manager of development and delivery for UL transaction security. "More powerful microprocessors along with secure multi-application smart card operating systems provide the necessary functionality required by a large number of smart card applications."

"Many smart card applications in various industries rely on GlobalPlatform technology for personalization, key management and security," he added. "We are excited that through the qualification of two test suites, we can now offer our customers a full portfolio of certified GlobalPlatform test suites."
