U.K.'s CreditCall joins PCI standards council
November 1, 2006
WAKEFIELD, Mass. - England-based payment and transaction services provider CreditCall has joined the PCI Security Standards Council, established in September by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International (link to story) to govern the data-security standard for the card-payments industry.
CreditCall's membership marks the first non-bank in the United Kingdom to join the council, according to a news release.
Participation in the council will give CreditCall the ability to recommend changes to the security standard and provide input for future data-security initiatives.
