Edinburgh, Scotland-based Scotia Security Group plans to enter the U.S. market with its product, ATM Cassette Guard, a device for protecting staff during cash replenishment, the company has announced in a press release.
ATM Cassette Guard restricts access to ATM cash cassettes during cash replenishment; programmable access codes and a full audit trail ensure complete access traceability, the company said. Integrated security features defend against physical attacks including thermal, cutting and explosives.
ATM Cassette Guard can be installed quickly and easily using existing fixing points so downtime is minimal and servicing can be carried out as normal, according to the release
The Scotia Security Group customer list includes most major U.K. banks, many multinational banks operating in the U.K. and several building societies, the company said.
Over time, Scotia will bring additional products to the U.S., including:
"In the 40 years since Scotia was formed we have gained unrivaled expertise in ATM security, from which we have developed a strong product set that is constantly evolving as the threat landscape changes," said Grant Calder, managing director at Scotia. "We have seen a surge in demand in recent years as ATMs have increasingly been deployed in less secure environments and the nature of the threat has evolved."
Calder said that Scotia seeks trusted associates who can add value to its products, and deliver a standard of service and support that matches what it provides in the U.K.
The company will exhibit at ATMIA 2015 in Las Vegas in February.
