OMAHA, Neb. - Transaction Systems Architects Inc., ACI Worldwide's parent, announced in a news release that it has closed on its $150 million acquisition of Newton, Mass.-based P&H Solutions, an enterprise-business banking-solutions provider.
TSA also announced its plans to rebrand its corporation under the ACI Worldwide name, TSA's primary operating company.
ACI Worldwide will have three primary operating divisions: ACI Global, ACI Distribution Channels, and Software as a Service.
As part of its globalization strategy, Mark Vipond has been named ACI's chief operating officer. Vipond was previously president of ACI 's product division. In his new role, Vipond will be responsible for ACI's global product and services initiatives.
Jeremy Wilmot, previously the leader of ACI's sales and support operation in Western Europe, has been named president of the Asia-Pacific channel; and Ralph Dangelmaier, former chief executive of P&H Solutions, has been appointed global president of the Software as a Service business.
This is the third acquisition TSA has completed within the last 18 months; the company also purchased S2 Systems and Electronic Payment Systems AG in July 2005.
Through its latest acquisition, the company is expecting a $40 million revenue increase in fiscal year 2007, up from an estimated $390 million to $431 million.
BASE24-es renamed, reclassified
ACI's electronic-payment-system product, BASE24-es, is getting a name change to BASE24-eps. BASE24-eps will represent the strategic platform for other ACI payments products, such as ACI's Wholesale Payments System, which is to be renamed BASE24-wps.
BASE24-eps also has been reclassified as a category A product. The reclassification, effective for contracts signed after Oct. 1, 2006, means ACI now has the ability to recognize revenue at the time of product shipment rather than upon customer acceptance.
