TNS Smart Network expects to deploy 10,000 ATMs

TORONTO - Canada's TNS Smart Network Inc. has deployed 9,000 white-label ATMs, and the company expects that number to reach 10,000 by year-end.

"Currently, TNS represents close to 20 percent of the Canadian ATM marketplace and maintains a volume of ATMs equivalent to 50 percent of all the ATMs deployed by financial institutions in Canada combined," said Mischa Weisz, TNS president and chief executive, in a news release.

Since 1997, an average of 1,000 new ATMs have annually been added to the TNS network.
