RESTON, Va. - Transaction Network Services Inc. (NYSE: TNS), a network and data communications provider for transaction-oriented applications, signed a deal to provide Town and Country Food Stores with network transaction solutions. According to a news release, TNS's Point-of-Service division will provide network solutions to Town and Country's more than 140 convenience stores throughout Texas and New Mexico.
Town and Country bought FusionPoint, a data communications solution from TNS that allows all technical applications to flow through one broadband pipe.
TNS will provide T & C with network connectivity and data communications services for credit card, ATM and check authorizations, accounting services and fuel-tank monitoring systems.
"No other connectivity provider can do this as easily or as well as TNS," said Devin Bates, chief financial officer and managing director of Town and Country Food Stores. "It's a simple yet business-savvy solution for our stores that will positively impact performance and customer satisfaction."
"Town and Country is a recognized leader in the convenience-store market and their selection of FusionPoint by TNS will make it easier for their stores to manage all their data transactions," said Don Bumgardner, vice president of field sales, TNS. "By leveraging this technology, T & C will be able to reduce costs, achieve greater data control and raise the ease of system maintenance."
