Transaction Network Services and ID Tech have teamed up to allow ID Tech hardware to be more readily certified into the marketplace.
Under the partnership terms, TNS will provide access to its global payments community, which boasts more than 400 endpoints, including the major credit card schemes, banks, acquirers and processors. The company will deliver connectivity to acquirers, as well as managed services around network monitoring, and SIM management and deployment.
"This partnership with TNS will enable us to accelerate deployments of EMV solutions both domestically and internationally," said Stanley Ning, president and CEO of ID Tech. "The combination of ID Tech's hardware and TNS managed services will provide [our] customers with a seamless EMV transition ... and significantly shorten the time frame required for our customers to adapt their individual payment systems to accommodate the changes related to the shift to EMV."
Lisa Shipley, EVP and managing director of TNS payment network solutions said TNS is unique in that it provides a single point of entry for acquirers, VARs, card schemes and others.
"New entrants, including hardware manufacturers, can certify once to TNS and have the benefit of the 400-plus connections we maintain across the globe," she said. "[O]ur customers are also able to streamline and simplify their payments, securing access to the global marketplace, rather than restricting themselves to local connections or a complicated homegrown network."
