TNS and Triton collaborate on Calypso project

November 12, 2002

LONG BEACH, Miss. -- ATM manufacturer Triton announced today that it has formed a strategic alliance with Transaction Network Services (TNS) called Calypso EUROPE. This new division of Triton will enable ISOs to arrange an end-to-end ATM management solution through just one point of contact.

The turnkey package incorporates processing, authorization, back-office operations and settlement for many terminal types, including traditional leased-line ATMs and dial-up off-premise ATMs.

Calypso and TNS have selected the Postilion software by Mosaic Software, the global transaction processing software provider, for their EFT platform.

Johann Dreyer, CEO of Mosaic Software states, "We are confident that this venture between Triton and TNS will be a tremendous success and are delighted that our Postilion software is an integral part of the solution."

According to Jeff Barrow, director of European business development at Triton, there are currently 11,000 remote location ATMs at convenience sites such as grocery stores and railway stations, nearly one third of the total number of ATMs and a major market to target.

"By enabling ISOs to manage all their ATM needs through one service provider, we are helping to make their life as simple as possible," said Ray Low, managing director for TNS UK. "In addition we believe the teaming up of experts in hardware and data communications fosters a strong spirit of innovation, which is great news for the ATM industry."
