TIO launches real-time billpay processing service for Cox Communications
November 22, 2009
TIO Networks Corp. announced it has expanded its relationship with Cox Communications to provide real-time bill payment services to cash-preferred consumers.
The deal follows successful deployments in Phoenix and Las Vegas, where Cox bill payment is available at TIO Networks' retail channel partners and Cox payment centers, TIO says in a news release.
All payments made to TIO are posted in real-time, giving customers flexibility to balance household finances and avoid late fees and potential disruption of services. Cox is the third-largest cable company in the nation, providing advanced digital video, broadband and telephone services to more than six million customers. These customers are now able to pay their video, voice and/or Internet bills via TIO payment centers.
The billpay service will be available in participating Cox markets within TIO's processing network. TIO has 18,000 location endpoints, including 1,500 self-service cash accepting kiosks.
