TIO complies with PCI standard

BURNABY, British Columbia - TIO Networks Corp., North America's leading automated bill-payment and financial-services network has achieved full compliance with the Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standard.
The standard is meant to ensure that merchants and service providers adopt best practices to enhance their payment-account security.
According to a news release, the certification ensures that TIO's billpay and financial-services products and solutions are protected.
"The PCI DSS's technical requirements were utilized as part of the security blueprint for our new processing architecture, and we have drawn from the policy and procedure requirements of the standard to ensure the processes around our software development and support models are best of breed," said Steve Barha, chief information officer of TIO.
