Threshold Electronics inks deal with Canadian bank

TORONTO, Ontario -- Threshold Electronics Limited has signed a deal with ING Bank of Canada to provide financial transaction switching, including POS and shared cash issuer and acquirer traffic, and ATM management services for the bank's national ATM network.

Threshold operates a Mosaic Software switch along with its advanced management information and reporting systems, according to a company news release. The Ontario-based company manages about 1,200 ATMs in addition to owning and operating its private-label Laser Cash ATM network in Canada, with more than 800 units nationwide.

ING Bank of Canada, also known as ING DIRECT, oversees more than 700,000 accounts.
