BruneiDirect.Com: Three Malaysian Chinese men were nabbed Aug. 22 by officials in southeastern Asia for allegedly skimming credit cards at ATMs operated by two banks in the country of Brunei Darussalam. The men are charged with cloning the cards' magnetic-strip information to create new cards. One bank notified authorities when suspicious-looking plain plastic cards were retained by one of its ATMs.
More than 100 cloned cards were found on the men when they were apprehended hours after officials were notified. PINs for the cards also were written on all of the cards.
