March 14, 2007
HANOVER, Germany - Thales' e-Transactions business line, which provides secure card-payment solutions, announced that it has sold more than 300,000 encrypting PIN pads. EPPs provide secure PIN verification for ATMs and other self-service systems.
According to a news release, Thales delivers more than 300 different EPP variants to more than 80 countries.
Thales says its open-software architecture, which eases integration, has contributed to its EPP's success.
"Our customers always receive the most advanced and secure technological solutions to meet their business needs," said Bernd Schmelz, Thales' EPP product manager. "The fact that we have sold over 300,000 EPPs within the last four years clearly demonstrates the trust that customers place in us to provide them with secure PIN verification for self-service systems."
