Thailand's largest bank adds custom Diebold ATMs

Diebold Inc. is implementing 140 customized Opteva 378 cash recycling ATMs into the fleet of Siam Commercial Bank PCL. The three-in-one terminals offer integrated note acceptance and dispensing, and are customized to provide self-service passbook update.
Bangkok-based SCB is Thailand's largest financial institution by market capital. The bank offers a full range of financial services to consumers and businesses and operates the nation's largest number of domestic branches and ATMs.
"Diebold's customized ATMs will help our customers more quickly and conveniently manage deposits and update their passbooks both quickly and conveniently," said Phanporn Kongyingyong, first executive vice president of the network division at SCB. "For SCB, the terminals' cash recycling technology will streamline our cash management operations and decrease costs by reducing the frequency of our cash replenishment visits."
