More than 100 representatives of Thailand's Government Housing Bank and mass media outlets visited GRG Banking headquarters, showroom and testing labs recently for a firsthand experience of GRG branch transformation solutions to be implemented by GHB.
GHB was established in 1953 under the supervision of Thailand's finance ministry to provide low-interest housing loans to citizens, particularly those living in rural areas.
Today, with so many homeowners repaying loans, GHB needs intelligent banking solutions to help improve business efficiencies, according to a press release. To this end, the bank intends to deploy GRG P5800L bulk deposit machines for loan payment acceptance, the release said.
Rather than queuing in front of a teller window, customers will be able to use the high-capacity, fast-processing P5800L 24/7 in public areas such as transit stations. This will lower operational costs for the bank while improving customer convenience, according to GRG.

"It will ease our pain point [and] boost our service quality, resulting in better customer experiences," GHB President Chatchai Sirilai said in the release.
GHB is also looking into the concept of branch transformation with the GRG video teller machine and GRG Cash Recycler H68NL to realize greater efficiency, the company said.
VTMs enable 24/7 two-way video service with a remote teller, reducing in-branch staffing demands; the H68N series reduces the frequency of visits by cash-in-transit providers to further reduce operational costs, the release said.
